2004 Season - Week 20

BUMSBowl IX

At half-time both Championship games were tied at 6-6 but Mark saw all 3 of his players score in game 2 and Marcus beat his Dad when Hines Ward scored with 17 minutes left. Marcus beat Mark 23-20 in BUMSBowl VI. BUMS Hall of Fame The votes have been counted and I’m pleased to announce that Adam Vinatieri (66 votes), Jerome Bettis (65), Peyton Manning (60) and Edgerrin James (39) have been elected into the Hall of Fame joining Brett Favre, Emmitt Smith, Marshall Faulk, Wesley Walls, Randy Moss, Jerry Rice, Terrell Owens, Marvin Harrison, Gary Anderson and Morten Andersen. Tony Gonzalez missed out for a second straight year finishing 5th with 27 votes. It Could Have Been So Different Trading Day - so what’s the point of that then. Depends on who you ask. Wayne wouldn’t have successfully defended his crown, AP and Mark would have shared the honours. Dave G would’ve been relegated without a +126 differential, Stampy would’ve stayed up. Phil would have been promoted and Cheryl would still be playing Conference ball next year. Cheryl finished +162 on her trades (she replaced franchise QB Maddox with Brees & HC Vermeil with Cowher). She made the right pick ups unlike Johnny who was the worst trader this year with a -58 differential. Without trades the tables would have looked like this:- PREMIERSHIP actual finish CONFERENCE actual finish =1 AP 495 3 1 Daz 525 1 =1 Mark 495 2 2 Johnny 505 2 3 Wayne 484 1 3 Phil 409 4 4 Gareth 470 5 --------------------------------- 5 Marcus 463 6 4 Aaron 356 5 6 Andy H 446 7 5 Cheryl 280 3 7 Ron 440 8 8 David S 406 9 ---------------------------------- 9 Dave G 379 4 10 John 339 10 11 Paul 267 11 BUMS on Superbowl Seats Superbowl XXXIX is on Sunday February 7th in Jacksonville as Philadelphia look to upset New England.
